Easy Oreo Ornament Cookies
Christmas cookies are a must during the holiday season! While I love baking cookies, it is also nice to have a quick, no-bake cookie in my back pocket which is why I love Oreo Ornaments! These Oreos decorated to look like Christmas tree ornaments couldn’t be cuter… or easier to make!
Just dip your Oreos in melted chocolate, attach a mini peanut butter cup on top of them, and decorate them with festive sprinkles or candies, and you’ll have the perfect cookies for any holiday function!
Keep reading for a list of ingredients and the exact steps to follow!
Ingredients
Chocolate chips, milk and/or white
Vegetable oil
Oreo Cookies
Minis Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
Sprinkles
Steps
Add milk chocolate chips and vegetable oil to a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the bowl of chocolate and vegetable oil in 30 second intervals, stirring after each time, until the chocolate chips are smooth and melted. Be careful not to over heat the chocolate because they will burn.
Repeat Step 1 to prepare melted white chocolate for decorating.
Use a fork to dip the Oreo in the bowl of melted chocolate, flipping to fully cover the cookie.
With the fork, remove the Oreo from the chocolate, tapping any excess chocolate on the side of the bowl.
Place the chocolate-covered Oreo on a sheet of parchment paper.
Decorate the Oreo with festive sprinkles and/or candies.
Attach a mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup to the top of the cookie.
Repeat Steps 3-7 with the remaining Oreos.
Place the decorated Oreos to the side or inside the fridge to set.
Serve and enjoy!
I hope you enjoy this treat as much as I did and have a Happy Holiday season!
