Auburn Coffee Shop Guide
College towns are known for their great coffee shop selections, and Auburn is no exception. Whether you’re studying for exams, catching up with friends, or just craving a really good cup of coffee, this guide to Auburn’s coffee shops has a place for you!
As a coffee lover who has lived in Auburn for years now, I am pretty familiar with Auburn’s coffee scene. So, I decided to create another coffee shop guide, but this time it is an Auburn edition.
For the hours, location, atmosphere, recommendations, and more details about coffee shops in Auburn, check out the Auburn Coffee Shop Guide below!
The Bean
The Bean has a retro vibe, colorful decor, and natural lighting making it one of the brightest, cheeriest coffee shops around. In addition to a wide coffee drink selection, the Bean serves all-day breakfast and sweet treats— they are especially known for their cinnamon rolls. The Bean's atmosphere is lively but not so much so where it becomes distracting, making the space perfect for study sessions and group gatherings alike.

Ross House Coffee
I'd dare to say Ross House makes my favorite coffee of all time. From classic drip coffee to fall-flavored lattes, Ross House has great-tasting drinks all-around. Plus, having two main locations and long store hours makes it easy to get Ross House. As if you needed another reason to visit, you'll likely run into the friendly store cat, Ross, if you go to the original, house location. Meanwhile, for more modern vibes and campus convenience, you can visit the Ross House located on West Magnolia Avenue that is only a crosswalk away from the College of Engineering.

Well Red
Well Red is a coffee shop, bookstore, and wine bar all in one! Located in a remodeled house, it is only fitting that Well Red has a cozy, inviting environment that feels like home. From velvety furniture to covered patio tables, Well Red has all kinds of comfortable seating options just like you'd find at home. The more chatty atmosphere makes Well Red best suited for community and conversation, but it can also be a workspace if you don't mind some background noise.

Bitty & Beau's Coffee
Bitty & Beau's Coffee is a national coffee franchise that employees over 400 individuals with disabilities. Since it is conveniently located close to campus and open every day of the week, Bitty & Beau's makes the perfect coffee spot for Auburn students. Bitty & Beau's provides students and other visitors a chic workspace, extensive food and drink menu, and friendly atmosphere.
Uniq Coffee
For the coffee consumers with more minimal vibes, Uniq will be right up your alley. With a simple aesthetic and plenty of natural light, Uniq makes an ideal workspace, especially for people who are prone to distraction. They are open daily, so it's not hard to make a Uniq trip that suits your schedule. Not to mention, they have some pretty innovative drink options that can be fun to try.

Ristretto Lounge
Although Ristretto is technically in Opelika, it is still fairly close to Auburn and too good not to include. Taking inspiration from Korean and Japanese coffee culture, Ristretto is a fun and different coffee option in the area. Their menu is filled with all kinds of drink and food options. In addition to having many menu options, Ristretto has lots of seating options on a main and upstairs level. With the second floor serving as a quieter space and main floor having a normal volume, Ristretto is a coffee spot suitable for heads-down, independent work and group meet-ups alike.
