Best Workout Clothes

Like many, I wear workout clothes at all kinds of times, even when I’m not working out. Athletic wear is perfect for days when I want to feel comfortable while also looking ~somewhat~ put together. This vibe is exactly what I am going for when attending classes or running errands, making workout clothes staples in my closet. In this post, I share my favorite workout clothes and all details you’d want to know about them!

CRZ Yoga High Waisted Pleated Tennis Skirt

Since I am shorter, I struggle finding skirts that aren’t too long- this CRZ Yoga skirt is the perfect option. The skirt’s shorter length looks adorable and doesn’t require the sacrifice of comfort. Since the skirt has built-in shorts, I can move around comfortably while wearing it. In my opinion, few athletic skirts hold up to Lululemon’s, but this one definitely gives Lululemon skirts a run for their money.

Athleta Breezy Tank

Athleta Tank

Real talk- I am pretty self-conscious about my arms and not wanting them to look too big, so I like to cover them as much as possible. However, summers in the south makes wearing more material less than ideal. Fortunately, this high neck tank is a lightweight linen-like sleeveless option suitable for the summer heat that also looks flattering.

Lululemon Swiftly Tech- Short Sleeve and Long Sleeve

The Swiftly Tech is one of my favorite Lululemon styles. I have this style top in a couple different sleeve lengths, shirt lengths, and colors because I love it that much. The shirt is slim but not so tight that it is uncomfortable or unflattering. Since I have a shorter torso, I prefer the race length version; so, my fellow short girls may want to pick up this one..

Athleta Ultimate Bra

Athleta Ultimate Bra

This sports bra is my go-to for workouts and everyday life. This bra may be the most comfortable one I’ve ever worn. This comfort and its considerable support has led me to purchase multiples of this bra. This bra’s only downfall is the removable pads which always need readjusting after going through the laundry.

Lululemon Align Leggings

While they’re on the pricier side, Lululemon leggings are the best of all I’ve tried. While I have yet to find a style I don’t like, the Aligns are my favorite of them all. They give the appearance of a tight, defined fit but do not have an uncomfortably tight feel. As a result, these leggings are perfect for when I am working out, on the move, or just lounging around.

Lululemon Hotty Hot High-Rise Lined Shorts

I want to preface the following by saying that I believe Lululemon shorts made a few years back are much better than today’s pairs. I am not sure what changed, but my older pairs and ones I buy from Poshmark have a consistent fit and appearance that I don’t see in the newer shorts from Lululemon. Call me crazy, but I know I’m not alone as I have heard others express the same thought.

With that being said, I have also not found shorts from any brand that compare to the old Lululemon shorts I love. So, Lululemon’s current offering of shorts is the next best thing. The style with the most consistent quality and fit is the Hotty Hot, so they are my athletic shorts go-to.

ALO Airbrush High-Waist 7/8 Bootcut Leggings

Alo Yoga Pants

Finding a pair of yoga pants that weren’t comically long on my short legs was a challenge. I tried all kinds of brands, styles, lengths, and sizes. These leggings from ALO were the only ones that fit the bill. The perfect fit combined with the high level of comfort and coverage make these pants a stable in my wardrobe.
