Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale

Today kicks off Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty Sale, so I thought I’d share what beauty items I’d recommend purchasing and avoiding during the event.

Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty event takes place twice a year — in the spring and fall — and offers different popular beauty items for 50% off everyday for 21 days. The fall 21 Days of Beauty event starts today (August 27th) and lasts through September 16th. Beauty products rarely go on sale, especially popular ones with this large of a discount. However, each offer is only available for one day (or less, if the item sells out), so you’ll want to plan if you’re interested in shopping the sale. Hopefully, this guide will help you create a game plan to make the most of the sale!

Week 1: Aug. 27th - Sept. 2nd

Select MAC Lipsticks

There’s no denying MAC makes great lipsticks, but their regular price doesn’t always seem worth it. However, the sale allows you to buy these high quality lipsticks for a drugstore price, or maybe for an even lower one.

Now $11-13 (reg $22-26)

Beautyblender Pro

While this makeup sponge was one of the first on the market, it is not the only one. There are plenty of more reasonably priced options, including my longtime favorite $1 AOA sponge. So, unless you’re an avid Beautyblender user, I’d recommend skipping this offer from the sale.

Now $10 (reg $20)

Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade & Brush 7B

Anastasia Beverly Hills has some of the most popular brow products. Two of the brand’s most coveted brow products are their pencils and pomades. On this day, the pomade is on sale. However, if pencil-like brow products are more your speed, you may want to wait until another Anastasia item goes on sale during the Week 3 of the event.

Now $9-10.50 (reg $18-21)

Lancôme Monsieur Big Volumizing & Waterpoof Mascara

I usually find the difference between drugstore and high-end mascaras to be minimal, so I normally buy drugstore ones. However, I feel like Lancôme is one high-end brand with mascaras worth their price, and this Monsieur Big mascara is among these.

Now $15 (reg $30)

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter

If you’re a shimmer lover, you’ll love these Fenty highlighters. They have lots of colors, so the product can act as a blush topper, subtle illuminator, or intense highlight. I paid full price for mine but probably would not repurchase without a discount like this one.

Now $20 (reg $40)

YSL Mon Paris Eau de Parfum (1 oz)

I always recommend trying before you buy when it comes to fragrance; so if possible, try this perfume out in store prior to buying if it’s on your radar. Without being able to fully describe the product, this fruity floral scent was a longtime favorite of mine.

Now $42.50 (reg $85)

Week 2: Sept. 3rd - 9th

Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Longwear Concealer

I don’t currently own this concealer, but it is one I’ve repurchased several times. For people who like higher coverage, this concealer is one you might want to pick up.

Now $17.50 (reg $35)

Smashbox BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighters

These highlighters have been a longtime fan favorite. Considering they impart the perfect amount of radiance, where the shimmer is noticeable without being distracting, there’s no question why they are so popular.

Now $11.50-21 (reg $23-42)

Buxom Power Line Plumping Lip Liner

Buxom has some of my favorite lip products. The only negative about their lip products is the price. Fortunately, being able to get these liners at half price eliminates that one drawback, so I have nothing but positive things to say about them.

Now $10.50 (reg $21)

Week 3: Sept. 10th - 16th

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer Eyebrow Pencil

If you don’t use brow pomades like the one on sale earlier, you may be more interested in picking up this Anastasia brow pencil while it is 50% off. This pencil is a little thicker than normal brow pencils which makes it perfect for a more full, defined look.

Now $13 (reg $26)

Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow

Although these shadows give a beautiful, glittery look to the lids, you can only achieve this look so many times before the product dries out. After only a handful of uses, the product gets dry and cakey so it hardly adheres to the lids. Since you only get a few good uses with the product, the shadow isn’t worth it, even at a discount.

Now $12.50 (reg $25)

St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse & Self-Tan Classic Kit

If you do absolutely any self tanning, whether it’s on a regular basis or for special occasions, this is an offer you should absolutely consider. St. Tropez’s tanning products are known for their quality performance, so being able to get this set half off is a great deal.

Now $10-$22 (reg $20-$44)

Select NUDESTIX Lip Products

NUDESTIX has several great lip products, from their glosses to balms to pencils. I’ve yet to try one I didn’t love, so I recommend taking advantage of the deal by buying any lip product that may be calling your name.

Now $13-14 (reg $26-28)

MAC Blush

MAC blushes are a longtime favorite for many people, myself included. Some of my top tier blushes are from MAC. They apply nicely, wear well throughout the day, and have excellent color payoff. What is not to love about them? Especially, when a discount makes their price on par with drugstore blushes.

Now $14.50-16.50 (reg $29-33)

Morphe 35 Pan Palettes

While getting 35 eyeshadows for this price may seem like a great deal, Morphe is not exactly known for their quality shadows. Therefore, you may want to skip purchasing a Morphe palette, even when they’re available at a 50% discount.

Now $13.50-19.50 (reg $27-39)
