Glossier Brand Review
Glossier is one of the most popular minimalistic beauty lines. Since Glossier’s founding in 2014, the brand has amassed a large following, and their products are now even carried by massive retailers like Sephora.
Over the years, I have tried many Glossier products, so I thought I’d share a comprehensive review of the brand. Find out the Glossier products I’d recommend trying and the ones worth avoiding in this brand review.
Perfecting Skin Tint
If you are into the “no makeup, makeup” look, this tint is made for you. This complexion product is not intended to provide much coverage at all. Instead, this lightweight tint evens out your complexion without covering up your skin. Whether or not you’d like this product comes down to how much coverage you want.
Pros: Lightweight feel, radiant finish
Cons: Hardly any coverage, may not suit oily skin

Cloud Paint Gel Cream Blush
Since I prefer using powder blush, my opinions on this creamy product should come with a grain of salt. Even though cream is not my preferred formula, I liked this product just fine. But, that’s just it as it was only fine. I’ve really enjoyed some cream cheek products in the past, but I ultimately felt like this blush was nothing to write home about.
Pros: Blendable, buildable color, natural finish
Cons: Not highly pigmented, fades fast

Lidstar Shimmer Cream Eyeshadow
With Glossier’s Lidstars, you can look like you tried with your eyeshadow while contributing hardly any effort at all. All you have to do is tap the product with your fingers onto your eyelids. It won’t provide a highly detailed look full of color and texture, but you can achieve soft dimension and shimmer with this quick step.
Pros: Effortless application, lightweight feel, gives pretty and subtle look
Con: Does not have much color or texture

Monochromes Essential Eyeshadow Trio
Since I love neutral eye looks, this palette with three basic brown-toned shades couldn’t suit me better. While achieving a dramatic, multi-dimensional look with these shadows may be hard, the shimmer shades can really make the eyes pop. Plus, the few shades in this palette make traveling with it easy and application a breeze.
Pros: Easy application, travel-friendly size, beautiful shimmer finish
Con: Not very pigmented

Lash Slick Lift and Lengthening Mascara
For those using mascara to simply define their lashes, this mascara is right up your alley. The Lash Slick doesn’t have the bells and whistles of most mascaras, as volume and drama is not the priority. Instead, the Lash Slick focuses on enhancing the appearance of natural lashes, adding color and length in a subtle way. Mascaras with this smooth of a formula rarely wear well throughout the day, but the Lash Slick doesn’t have issues with flaking or smudging which makes it great for those interested in low-key looks.
Pros: Lightweight, doesn’t flake/budge
Con: Doesn’t provide much volume or drama

Boy Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel
To hold my brow hairs in my place, I prefer using brow gels that work like hairspray as opposed to superglue, providing a firm hold that is not immovable. The Boy Brow has this exact formula. With that being said, there are tons of drugstore brow gels that work just as well, and they are a fraction of the price.
Pros: Lightly holds brows in place, easy to use
Con: Less expensive alternatives available

Glassy High-Shine Lip Gloss
I love all lip glosses, but I especially love a clear gloss. Adding a touch of gloss can ever so slightly elevate a look. In addition to providing a beautiful, shiny look of the lips, Glossier’s formula feels light on the lips and wears off seamlessly throughout the day. While this lightweight formula feels great, it does require touch-ups.
Pros: Shiny finish, comfortable feel
Con: Need to reapply

Balm Dotcom Lip Balm and Skin Salve
The Balm Dotcom has nourishing ingredients, a comfortable feeling, and shiny finish that I love. Whether you like a shimmery, tinted, or clear finish, this balm comes in all these finishes. Almost all versions have scents that smell amazing, but Glossier also caters to those with an aversion to scents with their unscented balm.
Pros: Comfortable, non-gritty shimmer, nourishing ingredients
Con: Thicker consistency
